What Are Subconscious Blocks?

The subconscious mind is considered a very powerful part of the brain which records and stores all the memories of our lifetime from conception. The stored memories are the foundation upon which the subconscious mind creates our beliefs and values (especially during childhood) based on our life experiences. Today's science estimates that 95% of our behaviour, decisions and emotions are controlled by our subconscious beliefs and memories. In other words, we act according to 'how' our subconscious mind believes we should, although we may not consciously always know or understand the 'why'.

Any negative beliefs (about ourselves or others), events/traumas or emotions that have been programmed into our subconscious mind will keep us trapped, such that we find ourselves repeating the same pattern of behaviour despite our conscious efforts to change. For example, a child who had been bullied at school is likely to grow up with feelings of low self-esteem and lack of self worth. As a consequence they will have created subconscious beliefs about themselves of not being worthy or good enough, leading to a life of emotional struggles and self sabotaging behaviours.

How MAP™ Works

The MAP Method utilises the neuroplasticity of the brain to rewire and neutralise unfavourable long-term memories. With the help of recent developments in neuroscience and in the field of psychotherapy, the method was created to train the mind to heal itself on command by working via the window of reconsolidation.

MAP leverages the power of the superconscious mind; a higher state of consciousness which can on command find and treat memories in a way that is very quick, gentle and safe.
